Total Cool: The 2008 Le Mans is history. The epic battle between Audi and Peugeot will be long remembered. The French ‘equipe’ dominated qualifying and occupied the top three positions on the grid at the start of the 76th running of this classic event. The Parisian skies rained on Peugeot’s parade, any advantage they gained in top speed was washed away, and despite placing three cars in the top five, top of the podium went to Audi drivers: Tom Kristensen scoring his record extending eighth win, Dindo Capello collected his third win and Alan McNish scoring his second win at the Sarthe circuit.
