L’equipe has reported that the French senate has given approval for the construction of a Formula 1 circuit in the outskirts of Paris.
50 Years ago on January 22, 1959 the racing driver Mike Hawthorn was killed in a road accident on the A3 Guildford by pass in Surrey.
He was 29 years old, and had just become the first British driver to win the Formula 1 World drivers championship.
