SLIPPERY AND VICTORY IN THE WET
Robin is a winner. In the dry at Barcelona, in the wet at Zandvoort. The talented Dutch driver for Josef Kaufmann team gave the locals fans reason to smile in the rain on Sunday at the seaside track.
Robin Frijns: “At the start I couldn’t see anything and I was fourth. So I took it easy and the braking was pure luck. Then Michael came by, and Carlos was trying a move. But then after the second lap I passed the guys in front of me and I knew I was quite fast as I was closing on Harvey by a second a lap. I was pushing like crazy and then after a few laps the team told me to take it easy as I was 15 seconds ahead. I took it easy then and just cruised around and brought it home.”
Robin has flown to success in both rounds of the 2010 Formula BMW Europe so far, and after winning Rookie of the Year honors last year plans to land the big prize this season.
Robin has a smile for everyone, just like the pit babe holding his sign.
