Pak Performance: As motorsports grows in popularity in the Middle East, so does participation from other countries near the region. The photo shows Umair Khan receiving his prize for winning his class in the 2009/10 UAE Touring Car Championship, and finishing second overall.

Umair “Il Lahori” Khan is a native of Pakistan and has been involved in Middle East motorsport activities since 2001, and holds an International “C” license.

The 2010/11 season is now underway and Umair opened the defense of his class 2 title by taking second in both the opening two races of the season earlier this month.

Umair plans to undertake additional International racing challenges in the coming season.

Based in Dubai since 1998, Umair’s day job keeps him busy at his media and advertising agency.
