FERRARI PLAY IT SAFE AND SIGN FELIPE MASSA FOR ONE MORE SEASON
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has signed a new one-year contract extension with the Italian outfit, which has effectively put an end to Sebastian Vettel to Ferrari rumours.
“I want to thank President Montezemolo and (team principal) Stefano Domenicali, who gave me confidence which I have always maintained, even in the most difficult moments,” the Sun quoted Massa, as saying.
“Both the team and the fans can be assured I will do all that is in my power to help the Scuderia to achieve the goals that arise every year. Ferrari is my sports family,” he added.
Massa’s future has been the subject of speculation all season, with the 31-year-old suffering an abject run until he finished second at this month’s Japanese Grand Prix for his first podium finish since 2010.
