Santino Ferrucci Awarded INDY 500 Rookie of the Year
Santino Ferrucci from Dale Coyne Racing – now sponsored by ENEOS – won the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year honors after his seventh place finish at the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.

This was an amazing feat for this young driver’s oval debut in the #19 Cly-Del Manufacturing car. Starting from 23rd on the starting grid, Ferrucci was the highest-finishing rookie among the six drivers making their first Indy 500 starts.

During the race, Santino made 30 passes – the largest number of any driver this past weekend. For his efforts, he also earned $50,000 and leads the NTT IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year standings with 129 points.

“You can only win Indy 500 Rookie of the Year once,” Ferrucci says. “It’s quite an honor. I can’t thank the team enough for giving me such a fantastic car.”
